Dr. Alejandro Escobar Uribe coursed his residency on general and cardiovascular surgery at the CES University in Medellin, Colombia. Additionally, he coursed a fellowship on open and endovascular aortic surgery in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He currently works as leading consultant in cardiac surgery at Centro Cardiovascular Somer INCARE, Hospital Manuel Uribe Angel and IPS Universitaria Leon XIII. Dr. Escobar Uribe is part of the board of directors of the Sociedad Colombiana de Cardiologia y Cirugia Cardiovascular and member of the editorial committee of the Revista Colombiana de Cardiologia y Cirugia Cardiovascular.
