CV Resume

Dr. Mateo Marin-Cuartas graduated in Medicine at the CES University in Medellin, Colombia. He is cardiac surgery resident at the Leipzig Heart Center in Leipzig, Germany as well as postdoctoral research fellow at the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department from the Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California. His doctoral degree was awarded by the Leipzig University School of Medicine for his work on functional mitral regurgitation. Dr. Marin-Cuartas is member of the European Society for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS), the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) and the German Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (DGTHG). His research interests focus on the surgical pathology of the mitral valve, structural heart disease and surgical coronary revascularization.
